Focalizer
All
innovations evolve and new businesses are no exception. An
entrepreneur's original business concept often bears little
resemblance to the final value proposition taken to the
market.
The concept often needs to go through a large
number of iterations before it can be launched. The founders
need to collaborate, not only with each other but also
potential customers, suppliers, investors and suppliers of
relevant market information.
The
mentor acting as focalizer is not the architect of the
solution: his role is more of a conduit, to funnel and filter
all relevant information between the collaborators working on
the various approaches to the solution.
The
focalizer will also assist the creative process by ensuring
that all the appropriate questions have been asked and
addressed, and suggesting various alternative strategies and
scenarios.
